My love of cavies, otherwise known as guinea pigs, started when I set out to find my son the perfect pet.  After calling many pet stores and looking at various websites 
I decided that guineas were perfect because they were a nice size for little hands, they interact with us by squeaking happy sounds when we bring food, and they are just so cute!
Then I discovered the long haired breeds and my addiction began! 
 
My caviary gets its name in honor of the three boys in my life.  They love sports - especially basketball.  My husband was an All Star player in his younger years and now he enjoys being a high school coach.  I've seen him work hard and be diligent to achieve success with his sports program and I strive to do that for my animals.
I hope to make each one an MVP - Most Valuable Pig!
